Heavy grav world waves will be pretty darned small.

Which world has a 0.8g well. Now that is the world that I want to go see surf championships on!

Well, Grayson is like .85 IIRC, but, y'know, no.

Well, those waves may not be as high as you might think...because they would be, like, heavy.

I thought Grayson was like 1.15? With all the heavy metals it should be a very dense world.

Just because it is dense doesn't mean it is massive. Remember, radius has something to do with total mass, too. :)

Some unpleasant member of her Cabinet takes serious umbrage with something Eloise has done/wants to do/is planning. Eloise tells the members of it she trusts that she will not ask them to participate if it goes against their consciences.

Cue everyone standing up, one by one, saying some variant of, "I serve at the pleasure of the President."

Cue the RoH kicking serious arse.

...me? Biased? Fangirl? Never. *innocent whistle*

Heh, scifi romance has been around for fifty years.

Wait till Skimper hears about the pornographic and BDSM science fiction subgenres.

(Never read the stuff, but I have some friends...)

For I don't go in for the SF Romance much, but Catherine Asaro is pretty good. (For some reason, she keeps getting put on Military SF panels at cons, but that's not really her field.)

I didn't know about those sub-genres. Wanna covertly slip me a copy of Playboy-sci-fi in my email?

Christine Feehan's paranormal romance is hottt! Ghostwalkers. It's a paranormal military unit of sorts. Hot. Steaamy Hot!

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

Rose...been meaning to ask. Where are you from? As in where do you get all of your funny sayings? Reminds me of Amaroq's country slang for a fight--a dustup! And in the country, with all of the dust, I can imagine a good 'ole scuffle actually turning into dustups.

'Oh, my sweet summer child?'
O, I'll be a-borrowing that!

---------------------
And speaking of country. How about Grayson truly embracing it's heritage and going back to cowboy boots, spurs, hat and a side-shooter, a holster with pulser.

The women carrying hidden pulser dillingers and vibro blades. Now that's a plot!
