Actually I dunno if this is a good idea but have any of you thought outside the box? Instead of a live action film with real sets, how about instead a computer generated version movie or series of honor harrington that way, weber won't go nuts when some actress tries too hard to look like her, and secondly the costs will go down. Not saying it's cheap but it's less expensive then having a real set, you have computers, of course actors and of course a set however the background is filled in with graphics.
Take for example, the latest game killzone 3 i dunno if anyone here is into gaming here but I am, um they hired actors for the cutscenes, and only used a few props but the actors actually acted. It was less expensive then making a real movie. Or another example was a resident evil film shot in CG. And even though I hate this next to Twlight, how about Avatar huh? I think instead of a live action film the cgi film would well be less expensive. then again that's just ME All these take a little while to load sorry Here is one example of a cutscene from Killzone. Ya Solly, it has been discussed before, but a few months ago the Forums suffered a wee setback and we lost a whole bunch of good threads. A couple of them were movie related threads, and CGI (avatar)/ partial CGI (Hulk)/ animated (Battletech) / live actor, etc type stuff was discussed. Won't hurt to bring up the ideas again though, since the old threads are kaput!

Currently a professional CG artist can make about 1 second of film per 8 hour day, and not all of that will be usable. And there is still the Uncanny Valley problem.
So it's not going to happen soon without a crazy budget. |

Not to provoke, but I just cannot see Angelina Jolie as HH, because she is too sensual. I agree:
1. She is good at action roles 2. She can act 3. She is a box office draw but HH in the early books especially, is uncomfortable with her sexuality, even before the incident with Pavel Young; this doesn't change until later in the series. This board demonstrates that there are many possibilities out there, but an unknown might be the best bet |
