AEF NUMBERS CORRECTION
From page 790, HG.
Two cavalry *regiments* with over 2,000 men.
7th. Zydor Heavy Dragoons
901st Light Cavalry (Unicorn)
(1000 per regiment, BUT when the Zydors attacked Salby,
they used either 600 or 360 of their men,
in either five or three companies,
depending on how one reads it,
and on what Weber & Evans meant.
Two or three battalions per regiment, maybe?
BUT I infer from the text that all the Zydors were used.
I am confused.)
Eight infantry *battalions* with almost 9,000 men.
Eleven thousand so far,
BUT
Artillerists, logisticians, & Air Force people
with three thousand more,
TOTAL AEF **14,000** Cav., Inf., Arty., SoS, AF -
the equivalent of a Division (commanded by a colonel,
with two light colonels and a bunch of majors.)
So guess Harshuforce at 10,500 - 1500 = 9,000;
Carthosforce at 3,500 - strike of battledragons.

We were told at the end of HG that the AEF started
with c11,000 men. Figure Harshu gave Carthos 2,500
and took 8,500 with him. If he lost 1,500 at Ft.
Salby (probably lost fewer), he still has 7,000 men,
with Battle Dragons arriving any time,
against chan Geraith's expected 6,000.
But one brigade of 3DD, without extras, has 3,000
to go against maybe 2,500. And the brigade brings
heavy weapons, which Carthos-force lacks.
Of course, the Kelsyr Route is a long way to the front!
Many Portals to garrison.
