Very intersting articles! Thank you!

Daily Mail commentator Simon Heffer:

The Spectator Blog:

It's been a bit difficult to find any positive articles.

There's also been some activity by UKIP as it's been their party Spring Conference, Farage has rallied the troops by predicting that he'll make major gains in the European Parliament elections in May and possibly get some MP's at the UK General Election next year:

UKIP are very popular in the South East and Home Counties and they're trying to make inroads in the north of England:

However, they've fallen flat on their face in Scotland so far. They contested my local Westminster seat in a by election and did so poorly they lost their deposit!

Some more articles on how they're doing in Scotland:

Personally, I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole as they smack of the "Little England" attitude which get's up a Scotsman's nose, but I will admit they do have a point in some areas.

Nae probs, Bruno, glad to help!

Now, for the rest of the audience, here's a link to the BBC main page for the upcoming European Parliament Elections this May:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-26322069

"This year's elections to the European Parliament - taking place on 22-25 May across the EU - will see an unprecedented battle over the bloc's powers and role.

For the first time anti-EU parties will pose a major challenge in many countries.

The vote will be the biggest yet - the 751 MEPs elected will represent more than 500 million citizens in 28 member states."

Further down the page you'll see how many MEP's each country has. For example Germany has 96, the UK 73, Sweden 20 and all the way down to Malta's 6. These numbers are decided by size of population.

With the fecal storm created by US and EU meddling in Ukraine escalating, voters might decide that allowing the EU to be powerful enough to engage in such stupidity is insane.

Or the Ukrainian crisis may let them rediscover the reasons for the EUs existence.

With the right to travel all over the continent without passport, to study in any member country, live in any member country seemingly having become taken for granted the EU seemed to be stale and old news.

Ukraine, thanks to Mr. Putin, suddenly is shaking the Europeans out of their lethargy and showing them why every eastern country tries to flock into the EU. And what it means to be safely under its umbrella instead of under Russian influence.

Or it might have the opposite effect, in the UK at least. The BBC has been doing a set of reports in the run up to the election. It's interesting to see that people don't have that good an idea of what the EU actually does, or how much it affects everyday life here. It's not as huge as that idiot Farage makes out, but the reaction is mixed, at best, when the average person finds out how much EU rules affect the UK.

The British public's aloof and isolationist tendency with regards to Europe means trying to get them to think rationally about it is difficult. There's too much of a knee-jerk anti "Johnny Foreigner" reaction, especially in some areas of the South of England.

What makes me laugh is the fact people are anti-immigration, but forget it's the immigrants that do the jobs the natives now consider beneath them. If immigration was stopped, how many would be willing to work as a cleaner, an au pair or any other low paid or "dirty" job?

Not many, I'd bet.
