One of Skimper's ideas makes it into publication.
Roseandheather gets laid by Eloise and/or Thiesman. Mesa somehow engineered the Grayson/Masadan split. Grayson, Haven and Manticore form a new political entity, The Grand Empire. Sollies get their heads out of their asses before being completely overwhelmed and overrun. Albrecht Detwieler isn't at the center of the onion. |

Whereas I'd really, really, really like to see the first one happen, because he's damned well worked his ass off for it and has earned it, I would not like Rose to get laid by either of them because if so, we're never ever gonna see or hear from her again, and I like her right here in the forums where she belongs. (Sorry Rose, selfish me) Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. Imagine a woman that's been waiting to bed someone so long. She's got plenty to give and no way they'd hyper out without such a prized minx in tow. So we'd never hear from her again if she's sitting at a prized spot in Cosmos with the lights turned low. They wouldn't see her for long either. Planetary Administrator for Mesa (Post-Mike Henke visit): Victor Cachat  Actually, I could see that happening. The gang bosses still don't trust each other all than much, what is left of the Mesan government trusts them not all, and the slaves are still wondering what happened but beginning to cast lean and hungry looks at the 'citizens', Thandi needs to get back to Torch to organize the occupying troops incoming, and Mike wants her SD's and CLAC's back in action, not tied down over Mesa....who else is better to bring order out of this muddle than the most capable improviser in Known Space? ***********************************************

Sadly, he'll take this job as seriously as all the rest and as soon as all the nails are hammered thoroughly, he'll go haring off at the first chance to cause mayhem elsewhere. Despite his absence, everything flows smoothly because his second was carefully vetted (see also beaten, subjugated, and researched), and no one on Mesa wants to face the reprecussions if he has to return. ******

I was gonna say when I saw the first, I had to do a double read through, and I thought, "WOW," funny, but wow. If you your good though... Plot twists: And evil maianical treecat plottign to take over all treecatdom allies, and bonds, himself with Debwieler. Toghether they rule the the galaxy as father and son...  Erm, cough I mean as bonded maniac and cat!!!! Muwahahahah |
