I am totally up in the air as to which of the Havenites are going to be adopted. My most likely suspects are Shannon, Tom, Eloise, and Lester, but whether one, two, three, or all of them will be is something I've been debating with myself for years, but I'd say those four - roughly in that order - are going to be the ones if anyone is.

Your forgetting Sharp Claw, Springs From Above and Lurks in Branches. They are the furry bodyguards of Eloise Tom and Lester respectively.

I'm not. Yes, Tom, Eloise, and Lester (and probably Shannon by now, as soon as Sonja gets to Bolthole) have treecat bodyguards - but adoption is something else entirely. I was speculating about the latter, not the former.

I must come in on rnh's side here.

If Elouise gets a treecat partner (and I expect an impression, not just guardianship), Javier WILL get a treecat name, because of his place in Elouise's thoughts...

...which leads us to a very likely name for Giscard:
