Both my brother and I played with .22s as kids so, Yea it is, only a fool lets there kids have one without teaching them proper gun safety. And only coddlers think otherwise.
You start with a BB gun and teach them how to handle it and be safe with it. Then, when they show gun safety and responsibility, you let then graduate to a .22. That's how responsible gun owners are produced. & if he leaves his .22 out in the yard or on the swing, you take it back. That's called Punishment, (It's something liberals can't seam to comprehend.)
Shall we count your mistakes?
I/You/Someone did something "this way"-> therefore that is how it should be done. Logic fail.
Children can be perfectly reliable and safe, oh yes... But if you teach them that something is a TOY to be PLAYED with, then it will sometimes be PLAYED with like ANY TOY.
You ALWAYS separate serious/dangerous from toys.
Fundamental psychological fail.
Blame and disparage suitably vague "others" as a way to support your argument by attempting to attack opposition credibility.
Logic fail and dishonest.
You actually think anyone is capable of watching their children every second?
Basic fail.
22LR and 5.56 are not the same, well duh, what a surprise.
Strawman argument.
Ignoring facts you don´t like, like my list on how 22LR and other equally very low energy firearms are still in the top 10, or even top 3 list over murder weapons.
A
weapon is never a toy.
Reality disconnect fail.
